Pacific Island Palms began it’s operation in 1989. With a large Ziploc bag filled with Pritchardia affinis seeds from the Big Island and brought to Maui to germinate, the nursery began. Within 3 to 5 years a collection of 25-30 varieties of palms were now available for Maui residents to place into their landscape. Now the upcountry Maui Palm nursery contains over 100 varieties of some of the most beautiful Palms from around the world.
